- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 tbsp Blazing Star All In One Seasoning (plus more for topping)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup Blazing Star BBQ Original Sauce
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Bear & Burton’s Fireshire
- 8 oz freshly shredded cheese (cheddar or Colby Jack)
- 1 bag frozen tater tots
- Cooking spray or butter for greasing the dish
🔥Step-by-Step Instructions

Brown the beef.
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain most of the grease. -
Build the base.
Add diced onion, green pepper, and All In One Seasoning. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened. -
Add the sauce.
Stir in garlic, Original BBQ Sauce, mustard, and Fireshire. Mix well and let simmer for 20 minutes. -
Assemble the casserole.
Preheat oven to 425°F. Grease a 9×13 baking dish and pour in the sloppy joe mixture. -
Layer and bake.
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the meat, then top with a layer of frozen tater tots. Lightly season the tots with more All In One Seasoning. -
Finish.
Bake uncovered for 25 minutes, until the tots are golden brown and crispy. -
Serve.
Let cool slightly and serve hot.
