🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean or similar)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, diced (roasted optional)
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 small box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix (with seasoning)
  • 2 tbsp Blazing Star Reaper Rub
  • Melinda’s Hot Honey, for serving

 🔥 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven or pellet grill – Set to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix ingredients – In a large bowl, combine sausage, cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, bacon, biscuit mix, and Reaper Rub until well blended.
  3. Shape into balls – Roll into golf-ball–sized portions (about an ice cream scoop).
  4. Bake – Place on a greased or non-stick baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve – Cool slightly, then drizzle with Melinda’s Hot Honey before serving.

💡 Pro Tip: For milder heat, use fewer jalapeños or swap the Reaper Rub for Blazing Star Original Rub.

Just tried these and they are great. They are spicy and the honey made it even better. Follow the recipe and come out great.

Do you use the butter and herb packet in the cheddar bay box?

Jerry

these are not that good at all…there is no flavor….eating the biscuits by themselves good flavor but with everything else ur just eating grease needs way way more biscuit mix probably double

Dan

I’m making these right now. Obviously haven’t tried them yet, so this is a pretty pointless comment.

How much heat does the reaper rub add? I like heat my wife can’t take much heat. Jus curious if I need to alter how much I put in.
